HRNZ runs a wide range of events across New Zealand and online, including: 

• National Events: Virtual Summits, The Future Workplace Forum, and the NZ HR Awards
• Regional Events: Networking and professional development opportunities in your area
• Special Interest Network Events: Events on specialist topics, hosted by of our Special Interest Networks
• Professional Development (PD) Courses: Structured learning programs
• Webinars: Online educational sessions 

Yes. CPD (Continuing Professional Development) refers to learning activities that professionals undertake to develop and enhance their abilities. While CPD is an annual requirement for professional accreditation, all members are encouraged to accumulate and record their CPD activities regardless of their role or seniority level. 

Event CPD Points Breakdown: 

• Courses, webinars, workshops, and conferences: 1 credit per contact hour (max 15 per year)
  • Includes HRNZ offerings and external provider events relevant to your professional development. Keep evidence of relevancy with your attendance records for audit purposes.
• Professional networking and special interest forums: 1 credit per contact hour (max 10 per year)
  • Participation in communities of practice such as Special Interest events, regional events, and Café Connects. Both HRNZ and externally facilitated events qualify.

HRNZ events are open to HR professionals, business owners, people leaders, and more. Our events provide excellent networking opportunities for anyone involved in HR and people leadership. 

Most events are open to both members and non-members. However, some regional networking events and special by-invite-only events (such as our 40th celebration) are exclusively for members.

Membership discounts vary by course, webinar, or event type. To find the member rate:

If you're not yet a member, you'll need to purchase a membership to access discounts. Please note that membership benefits become active only after your membership invoice has been paid. 

Yes. To transfer your registration, email the event organiser (contact details are provided in your confirmation email) with: 

• The event name 
• The new attendee's name and email address 

A fee may apply if there's a difference between ticket types.
