Professional Recognition

HRNZ encourages members to apply for Chartered Membership and Accredited Professional Membership. Members can gain formal recognition of their skills, knowledge and experience in Human Resource Management and development. Chartered status is open to all who work in and are interested in the Human Resources profession as a current financial member of HRNZ. The first level of Chartered Membership is recognised with the post-nominal CMHRNZ. The second and third levels are Chartered Fellow (CFHRNZ) and Distinguished Fellow (DistFHRNZ).

Once achieved, Chartered Membership denotes that academics and HR practitioners have satisfied HRNZ that they have the particular qualifications, knowledge and experience, as well as possessing an ongoing commitment to HR professionalism and excellence in a tertiary or workplace environment.

Professional Information and Publications

HR professionals must have the resources to keep themselves informed of HR trends, developments and legal updates. Members receive access to a wide range of HRNZ's publications and information services.
