Two of my main strengths are the desire to support the growth and development of other people and to continuously learn myself. I am naturally curious and particularly enjoy figuring out how to get the best out of others. I have an innate skill for gaining consensus when working in teams, that ultimately leads to better outcomes for all.
As an HR practitioner I rely on my relationship building skills to partner effectively with managers in the business to ensure I add value.
While I prefer to work proactively to develop, coach and support managers to deal with people concerns at the earliest possible opportunity, I am also very confident dealing with complex ER cases.
I have around 15 years of experience working as an HR practitioner. I began in an HR Advisor role and have worked my way up to my current role as a People and Capability Manager so I understand the challenges HR practitioners face on their career journey. I have been lucky to have a number of mentors that have supported me on my journey and appreciate that without their support and guidance I would not have achieved what I have in my career in such a short period.
I get great satisfaction from seeing my team grow and develop, especially if I have contributed in some way towards that and I would love to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise with others so that they can achieve whatever their career goals are too.
