HB - Director, People, Culture and Capability
About
Kia ora, I’m Holly Bodiam, currently Director of People, Culture and Capability at Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality and Safety Commission. I bring experience in senior and executive level HR leadership in public sector and not for profit organisations, with a strong focus on supporting the building of high-performing, values-driven organisations and teams.
My expertise spans strategic workforce planning, leadership development, employment and industrial relations, organisational culture and wellbeing. I’m passionate about creating inclusive workplaces that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and support people to thrive. I’ve led significant change programmes, built capability frameworks from the ground up, and implemented systems that enable people and culture functions to deliver real impact.
As a mentor, I offer a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, test ideas, and grow confidence. Whether you're navigating complex leadership dynamics, shaping culture, or stepping into a new role, I can help you reflect, strategise, and take action. I bring a mix of strategic thinking, practical tools, and a people-first mindset and I genuinely enjoy helping others succeed.
I bring a flexible, collaborative style to mentoring. I enjoy problem-solving, exploring ideas out loud, and creating space for innovation. My approach is less about rigid frameworks and more about adapting to what works for you. I value curiosity, creativity, and practical thinking, and I’m always up for a good kōrero to unpack challenges and spark new possibilities.
I’m particularly keen to support HR professionals looking to build influence and impact in their roles.
