This is an in-person event!
The Wellington region job situation has been going through difficult times, in both the public and private sectors.
This panel discussion looks at the impacts of this on local workers and employers – as restructuring, staff reductions, and difficult financial times have taken their toll.
Our two speakers will tackle this from two angles. Firstly, with Priya, the story of an HR professional who has had personal experience of restructuring from two perspectives; as an implementer of change processes, and as someone who has been directly affected.
Secondly, from Anita, the perspective of an experienced recruitment professional, who has worked with many people affected by job change – their real experience in coping with loss, and rebuilding their careers.
This panel discussion will take an honest look at the impacts of a period of significant workplace change – its impacts on people, and the risks and opportunities existing in the Wellington region in 2025.
Our speakers will also talk about practical ways in which HR professionals might contribute effectively and humanely to change management processes – balancing the needs of the organisation and the realities facing their staff.
This in an in-person panel, with lots of time for you to ask questions, and to share your tips and experiences.
