How do you shape the workforce of tomorrow when the future refuses to stand still? Strategic Workforce Planning gives organisations the structure and discipline to navigate uncertainty - understanding what has worked, anticipating what is coming, and making decisions that build a workforce ready for multiple possible futures.

In this two-day Masterclass, participants explore the principles, methods, and practical applications of Strategic Workforce Planning through case studies, tools, and guided analysis.

This two day Masterclass introduces the discipline and principles of Strategic Workforce Planning, provides detailed case studies and examples of each part of the methodology, and demonstrates approaches that will allow the participants to contribute in a very tangible way to organisational success.

Attendees will be equipped with the framework and tools to begin a best practise Strategic Workforce Planning initiative in their own organisation, and will have an opportunity to network with peers on the challenges facing modern organisations in a time of unprecedented change.

Attendees will learn how to:

Align workforce strategy to organisational strategy;

Identify where targeted HR Initiatives deliver the highest strategic return on investment;

Perform organisational analysis using workforce analytics;

Identify and take advantage of the workforce, consumer, and economic dynamics shaping the organisation of tomorrow;

Exploring alternate futures through strategic futuring and scenario planning;

Close the gaps between the workforce of today and the preferred workforce of the future; and

Engage the business in workforce strategy.

Executives are demanding that for HR to earn a seat at the table, they need to be able to contribute to strategy in a meaningful way – Strategic Workforce Planning provides the framework for doing this. We hope you will join us in the course that has been described as "a thought provoking and clarifying call to action".

Testimonials

“Alex Hagan was an excellent presenter who is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his content. His wide range of expertise gave the content depth and interest. I'm excited to read Alex's books and further develop my understanding of the topics discussed. Workshopping alongside other industry professionals was really useful. There was a good mix of professionals from different types and sizes of organisations.” Anna, People & Culture Manager

“The course was excellent. Most of all, what I appreciated was how the facilitator helped us navigate the complexities of what we were learning. As someone who originally trained to be a teacher, I felt the course was scaffolded very well. I appreciated how scalable the course was - it seemed as though everyone in the room got something valuable out of the course, despite being at differing stages of their workforce planning journey.” Matt, Workforce Planner

“Really enjoyed the course, really valuable for developing our strategic workforce plan. Stretched and challenged my thinking into the strategic thinking space.” Jo, Kaihautu Pumanawa Tangata
