Ever wanted to find out more about trade unions, but were unsure where to start?

Here is an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion, with two leading NZ trade unionists.

This will be an interactive panel discussion, with the aim of exploring the role of unions in the NZ workplace - what they do, why they do it, and how to work with them to create a better work experience for staff. Due to the implementation of Fair Pay Agreements, there will be a special focus on bargaining.

This one hour panel discussion in Wellington is a great chance for members to find out about unions and their role in worker representation, and get some practical tips. This will be helpful fo rmembers who are working in a unionised environment, and for members who wish to expand their knowledge in this area.

Presenter Details

Richard Wagstaff

Richard Wagstaff was elected NZCTU President in 2015. He was previously NZCTU Vice President and National Secretary of the NZ Public Service Association. Richard is currently a member of the ILO Governing Body. Richard is also a co-chair of the New Zealand Tripartite Future of Work Group.
