THIS EVENT IS FULL!
As HR professionals, you are likely to be impacted by ongoing uncertainty and change in organisations.  Throughout this, you will be expected to remain strong, calm, composed and resilient in order to provide significant levels of support to leaders and team members as they navigate the challenges.  There has never been a more important time to manage your own stress, practice excellent self-care and maintain optimal mental wellbeing (and avoid burnout).  While it is likely that you are already doing many things that work well, this session focuses on the most useful evidence-based tools and techniques for mental wellbeing that you can easily integrate into your daily routines. 

It will cover:

  • The highest impact self-care strategies for calming the nervous system
  • Choosing where you focus your attention 
  • Managing mind stories and use reframing to keep things in perspective 
  • Managing worry, rumination and strong emotions
  • Practicing acceptance
  • The importance of compassion

Presenter Details

Jane Davis, the Flourishing Institute

Jane is the Director of The Flourishing Institute, a positive psychology consulting business based in Christchurch. Her background is in Organisational Psychology and she has over 30 years’ experience which spans various sectors, including public and private organisations and academic institutions. Her main focus is on helping people increase their tolerance for uncertainty and build psychological flexibility (the ability to adapt quickly, cope well with change and bounce back from challenges). Jane has been teaching mental wellbeing skills for many years and her expertise in positive psychology enables her to support organisations to create cultures where people can truly thrive.
