Iain is an award-winning coach and author who runs training courses for coaches across the world. He will talk about the background to his book Coaching Expertise and clarify the steps you can take to continue your effective development as a coach.

Presenter Details
Dr Iain McCormick, MD, Executive Coaching Centre
Iain is an Executive Coach based in Auckland. Prior to this he was a Consulting Partner with Deloitte working in Canada and New Zealand and Managing Director of Aon Human Resources Consulting, Hong Kong. He holds a Master of Social Science with First Class Honours, a Diploma in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in organisational psychology for his research in the area of work stress. Iain is a Fellow of the New Zealand Psychological Society and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Organisational Psychology. He has established himself as a leader in the field of coaching with a particular expertise in Schema Coaching (he published Schema Coaching: Overcoming Deep-Seated Challenges in 2024). Iain has recently published his fourth book Coaching Expertise: Six Practical Steps for Every Effective Coach (2025)
