During these turbulent times of change we are holding an event on Change Management, where an expert panel of three will discuss different ways 'how to navigate and help staff to adapt to change'.
Our Expert panel includes:
- Matt Carter, Chief People Officer, Silver Fern Farms
- Liz Beard, Head of People and Performance, AD Instruments
- Carolyn King, Senior Change Manager, University of Otago
This session will be facilitated by Jan Samuel, HRNZ Otago Committee Member (HR, Change Specialist and Accredited Mediator)
We look forward to welcoming members and non-members to this event which will be held on 16 April 2024 at 5.30pm at Silver Fern Farms.

Presenter Details
Panel Member 1: Matt Carter, Chief People Officer, Silver Fern Farms
Matt has been at Silver Fern Farms for over 4 years in an HR role and has stepped into the Chief People Officer position in the last 6 months, part of the Senior Leadership Team. Matt has had extensive experience in HR and leading change, previously working in a Senior Leadership role at Otago Polytechnic.
Panel Member 2: Liz Beard, Head of People & Performance, AD Instruments
Liz is an experienced HR practitioner and has been in her current role with AD Instruments for the last few years. Liz has experience in managing HR and change, not only across the country but across continents.
Panel Member 3: Carolyn King, Senior Change Manager, University of Otago
Carolyn is extensively experienced Senior Manager running large strategic Change Projects at the University of Otago. Carolyn also delivers training in the Prosci Change Management methodology used by the University. Carolyn has extensive background in HR management and has previously working for Deloitte’s.
