HRNZ, with the very generous support from our event host and sponsor Buddle Findlay, warmly invite you to a “Blue Ribbon Breakfast for Prostate Cancer” to raise awareness about prostate cancer and the work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand.
This event is an HRNZ initiated November event given the high importance we place on the wellbeing of our workforce and on this occasion a focus on men’s health; showing our support and encouragement in being ahead of any concerns.
Join us in your best blue attire for a morning of networking over breakfast and the company of Peter Dickens, CEO of Prostate Cancer Foundation and a guest speaker who will share their story of how they came to survive a prognosis and thrive in life beyond it.

“Blue September” is the flagship annual awareness and fundraising campaign coined and run by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ. The campaign dedicates the entire month of September to raising awareness about prostate cancer and encouraging early detection through regular check-ups (the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Kiwi men).

Presenter Details
Peter Dickens, CEO, Prostate Cancer Foundation of NZ
Peter grew up in Auckland and in his early career worked in broadcasting and communications. For the past 25 years, Peter has held leadership roles in the charity sector in the UK and NZ with organisations working in disability, children's services, brain and central nervous system cancers, music therapy & the music industry and now prostate & testicular cancers. His personal experience with prostate cancer has been informed by the diagnosis and treatment of his brother in 2019, who today remains cancer-free. Peter has been Chief Executive at Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ since 2021.
