DWJ to those who know me well. Extensive HR experience gained progressively through a career covering government, commercial and not for profit sectors. My initial career was as a personnel manager with the British Forces during which time I worked HRM generalist, payroll, OD, extensive career management experience including career management of 3,200 personnel distributed around the world. Worked in NATO (Italy) in policy development and planning through to NZ where I have worked in hospitality, IT, health care (primary, secondary and ambulance); Ministry of Transport(NZ), Lockheed Martin Global through to the NZDF, and currently in not for profit. Roles held range from HRA, HR Manager/Manager People and Culture, Senior Business Partner, Group Manager, Assistant Director and General Manager. 

I have also served on several Boards. Academically and professionally qualified holding: BSc, BA, PGDip Geography & Environment; PGDipBusAdmin (HR/OSH); PGCert Governance & Public Sector Management; PGDip Strategic Leadership & Management and I am just coming to the end of an MBA and conjoint Masters in Strategic Leadership degree programme. I am a Chartered Member of HRINZ and a Fellow Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators and of Governance NZ.  I have also held several volunteer roles including JP, senior volunteer fire fighter, outdoor volunteer safety instructor and Board Member.
