Kia ora,

I have been working in the HR industry for 16 years in both Auckland and Dunedin, over that time I have worked in both national multi-site and single site industry, in retail, trade and healthcare. I have worked my way up from a HR administrator through to my current role as HR Manager, focussing my career predominately in the generalist space.

My remit has included extensive work in industrial relations and collective bargaining, change management – having taken lead roles in business acquisition and transition programmes, recruitment and employment branding, health and safety, remuneration, learning and development and talent management. I am an accredited member of HRNZ and certificated DISC facilitator.

I whole heartedly believe in a partnership model to HR and that buy in and relationships with leaders, is critical to HR effectiveness. I see a high value in data analytics to understand people needs and trends, and am in the process implementing an HRIS to enable my team to focus their time on value-add work, as I believe HR time is best spent working alongside people, not managing cumbersome process and compliance.

I have spent the last 4 years in my current role based in Dunedin where I am leading the HR and health and safety team. I am member of the executive team and believe I could offer a lot to a mentoree, drawing on my past and current experiences.
