About the Nind Group
From small beginnings out of a workshop in Invercargill almost 50 years’ ago, Nind Electrical Services has grown into the Nind Group, with five branches employing around 150 staff across the lower South Island - Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch, Queenstown and Cromwell.
We are now seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join us, leading and supporting our HR operations, providing high quality support to the management team, and driving the strategic direction of our people and culture.
About the Role
The Human Resources Manager will work closely with our GM, Directors and Branch Managers to ensure our policies, processes and people practices are effective, compliant and aligned with our values.
The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse workload, from end-to-end recruitment processes and leading the delivery of all core HR functions across the Nind Group, through to providing sound employment relations advice, developing and implementing HR strategies which align with the businesses’ strategic objectives, supporting staff engagement, undertaking performance reviews and identifying training needs, and championing an inclusive workplace culture.
About You
We would love to hear from experienced HR professionals who are keen to make a meaningful impact in a role where your people-skills, leadership and ideas are valued.
Our ideal candidate will tick the following boxes:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in HR, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years generalist HR experience (preferably at management level in a trade industry)
- A sound practical knowledge of NZ employment law and HR best practice
- A strong communicator, with the ability to engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of people
- Prepared to be involved in both operational and strategic HR tasks
- Professional, with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

This role is 30 hours/week where travel around the branches is required on a regular basis. We offer competitive remuneration which includes medical insurance.
