The Wilcox family started growing potatoes and onions in Pukekohe in the early 1930's. In 1954 A.S Wilcox & Sons was established and has continued to grow a range of produce ever since, becoming an integral part of New Zealand's horticulture industry.

Today Wilcox is a 4th generation, family-owned and operated company, with a commitment to providing good, fresh, nutritious food from our fields to your table. We grow & pack our produce from Northland to Canterbury, ensuring year-round supply to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to join our People & Culture Team as an HR Advisor to support the delivery of people-focused initiatives across our business. If you are a great collaborative worker with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow - this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Based in Pukekohe, you'll play an important part in all aspects of the People & Culture function from recruitment, onboarding and employment relations to policy development, communication, reporting and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing ER & HR advice, support and guidance to the business to enable best practice solutions throughout the full employee life cycle
  • Enabling end-to-end recruitment & onboarding processes, including seasonal staffing campaigns & support for the RSE program
  • Providing support to payroll operations
  • Handling P&C data and reporting to support informed decision-making
  • Supporting internal communications and people events
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' experience in HR
  • A solid understanding of NZ employment legislation
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • A growth mindset and a genuine interest in people and culture
