Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
As a member of Te Kāhui Manukura (TKM), our senior leadership team, you will lead the People and Culture, and Wellbeing and Safety Teams, ensuring growth and development in both areas with a culture of enhancing capability for all.
While your focus will be strategy to support our people, you will balance strategy with operations in this pivotal role as we embrace a period of significant change in our organisation. You will provide values-based leadership guiding your team to develop exceptional teams aligned with Otago Polytechnic's needs.

Key to success in this role will be your:
- Extensive experience in leading change in complex environments
- Demonstrable People and Culture, and Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership in a large organisation at a senior level
- A depth of knowledge and practical application of best practice in the portfolio remit
- Passion to support kaimahi to realise their potential and thrive
- Collaborative and approachable style with the ability to build meaningful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external)
- Experience in a tertiary education environment or public sector would be an advantage.
