Distinguished Professor Emeritus Paul Spoonley FRSNZ

Paul was Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Massey University. He retired from the university in 2021.  He was then appointed as an advisor to the Commissioner of Police and in 2022, was appointed as the Co-Director of He Whenua Taurikura (National Centre for Countering Violent Extremism). He is the author or editor of 29 books, including “The ‘New’ New Zealand. Facing Demographic Disruption”. He has been a judge for the Diversity Awards for the last decade.
