Presenter Details
Maria Ramsay
Maria Ramsay has been the Toi Foundation's Chief Executive since 2014, having joined the team in 2006 in the position of TSB Community Trust Manager. As well as her role as Chief Executive Maria is the Secretariat for the Trust's companies – TSB Group Ltd, TSB Group Capital Ltd and TSB Group Investments Ltd. Prior to joining the Foundation Maria was the Manager of Service Delivery at Puke Ariki, New Plymouth's Library, Museum and Visitor Information Centre, as well as its Acting Manager. Originally training as a Comprehensive Registered Nurse, Maria worked for 11 years at Taranaki District Health Board in various roles. She is also the Chair of Netball Taranaki, a Board Member of the Elite Athletes Foundation, and a Community Mentor with a community mentoring scheme run through Venture Taranaki.
Alana Ruakere
Alana Ruakere (Taranaki, Te Atiawa) joined Tui Ora in January 2023, coming from the Crown Response Unit to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care, where she was the Director. Alana has had a long and distinguished career in the public sector with particular expertise in health and Māori hauora. She has held managerial positions in operations and policy at the Ministry of Health, Ministry for Social Development and Te Puni Kōkiri where she was the Manager for Whānau Ora Commissioning. Joining Tui Ora has enabled Alana to return home to her turangawaewae where her career began tutoring in mental health support at Te Pūkenga, and establishing Te Rau Pani – a specialist community based mental health service in Taranaki.
Mandy McGregor
Mandy McGregor is the creator and owner/Big Cheese of Smokeylemon, a Creative Marketing Agency since 2001. Mandy loves looking for new opportunities to grow professionally and have a team invested in the same. She is continually striving to deliver exceptional work to all clients large or small. In charge of sales, she has the ability to put herself in the clients shoes to deliver the right outcomes and is eager to understand how every business operates. Football, archery and thinking keeps her occupied. Oh, and speaking of shoes, Mandy is ready to go toe-to-toe with Imelda Marcos in number of new shoes... one day.
