HRNZ is pleased to partner with Duncan Cotterill to present the second instalment of the 2024 HR101 series.
John Gray-Smith (Senior Solicitor) and Lilli Wilkinson (Solicitor) will be running an informative how-to session on running employee disciplinary processes, broadly covering the following:

Attendees will get a refresher on an employer’s key legal obligations and a reminder on the necessary steps in the process, and will leave this session with practical tips and strategies to help them deal with difficult issues that can arise in disciplinary processes

John Gray-Smith, Senior Solicitor, Duncan Cotterill
John is a Senior Solicitor in the Employment and Health and Safety team at Duncan Cotterill. He works closely with a range of employer clients – including large corporates and small businesses – and advises on matters including disciplinary and performance processes, restructuring, and maintaining ongoing employment relationships. John has experience assisting employee clients in raising concerns and negotiating exits and settlements. John has appeared in both the Employment Court and the Employment Relations Authority.
Lilli Wilkinson, Solicitor, Duncan Cotterill
Lilli is a Solicitor in the Employment team at Duncan Cotterill. She works closely with employer clients to advise on a range of matters including disciplinary and performance processes, restructures and redundancies, and assisting with the defence of personal grievance claims. This includes representing clients during mediations, disciplinary meetings, and all other employment processes. Lilli also has experience assisting employee clients in raising concerns and negotiating exits and settlements.
