Course Overview

This half-day virtual course gives HR professionals and managers practical tools to build high-performing teams through feedback and effective coaching.

Giving feedback and coaching is essential for staff development and meeting team results.  Yet many managers feel unsure about giving constructive feedback because they fear getting it wrong.

Participants will learn how to give frequent and meaningful feedback that supports performance development. Our employment lawyer will share guidance on giving future-focused feedback that reduces risk and supports good faith.

Find out how to encourage two-way feedback with your team to strengthen leadership and build capability.

The course explores how to apply proven coaching models like GROW and COACH to build rapport, motivate staff, and strengthen performance.

Consider essential coaching skills such as emotional intelligence, active listening, and asking powerful questions.

Learn how to coach staff for improvement and support high performers with clear goals. Find out how to help managers embed coaching into everyday performance conversations with their teams.

Participants will gain practical tools including checklists, coaching templates, and techniques for encouraging two-way feedback in every conversation.

We will answer key questions such as: How can your management team use proven models to coach staff for success? How can you give feedback that motivates staff to improve performance?
