Mel Searle, Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ)
Mel Searle is a Career Adviser at the University of Otago’s Career Development Centre. She supports students through individual career conversations, workshops, and webinars on job searching, CV and cover letter writing, networking, and interview preparation. With a diverse career background spanning teaching, career practice, psychology, and science, she brings a broad perspective to career development. Before stepping into this role, she was a high school teacher with a strong interest in guiding students toward their future careers. Her career journey has also included roles in microbiology, pharmaceutical sales, laboratory management, and psychology. She is passionate about helping students navigate their unique career paths with confidence and clarity.
