Affinity’s managed payroll services help organisations cope with the complex demands of today’s digital world. Our real-time and event-driven payroll technology delivers employee & manager self-service, while our local teams of ANZ payroll experts provide payroll processing services and direct support to staff.

What size business or organisation does your product/ service suit?

Affinity partner with Australian and New Zealand mid-market and enterprise organisations, helping them to transform their payroll. Affinity typically works with organisations between 200 and 5000+ employees.

What kinds of organisations may be interested in your product/ service?

Affinity’s solution is designed for any organisation that is looking to transform their payroll to achieve greater accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

With Affinity’s fully managed service, we do the heavy lifting and optimise your payroll environment as we implement it. Our qualified and tenured payroll team are proficient in using our technology platform and the result is an accurate, compliant solution delivered with expertise.

How long has your product/ service been on the market?

Over the last 35+ years we’ve been evolving Affinity’s technology and services to provide our customers with efficient, compliant payroll that’s cost-effective and low risk.

Back in 1987, we were the first to connect electronic timeclocks to a payroll system. In the early 90's we were one of the pioneers of employee self-service.

Now we’re focusing on building a future that will fully automate payroll, so you don’t have to think about it. Our real-time payroll system allows for better employee engagement outcomes alongside continuous auditing of all events that are entered into the system.

What does your standard product cost?

There are a number of factors that go into the calculation for both the annual on-going and once-off implementation costs. This includes considerations such as the complexity of the agreements, number of pay points, frequency of pay, integration requirements, whether workforce management is required, number of entities etc.

From a budget perspective, we provide a cost range initially, then a fixed price following detailed scoping.

Are there annual licensing costs? How are these structured?

For pricing and additional information about the Affinity offering please contact us.

Is your product an off the shelf solution, or does it require customisation?

We work with each organisation to understand their individual requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.

How long does your product take to implement? How does customisation impact this?

We have a phased approach that has a strong emphasis on getting to know you and your business. We not only implement our new payroll offering, but take the time to identify, resolve and mitigate any risks that might already exist in your payroll process.

Detailed scoping is undertaken by our team to understand which interfaces and integrations are required, the direction of data flow and the makeup of the data files themselves.

Automation is our key focus during implementation. The Affinity team will assist with mapping and transforming information and will create scripts to securely collect data.

A standard implementation can take between two to three months and a more complex implementation can take up to six months – exact timings will depend on your individual requirements.

What is your post-implementation support? Are there costs to this or is the up-front cost inclusive of additional support?

Our payroll managers and support desk provide quality customer service. Leveraging off years of combined expertise, they support you through legislative changes and related system and process updates.

Typical roles and functions once Affinity’s fully managed payroll service is implemented:

Payroll

There will be no requirement for specific payroll support or management resourcing.

HR

A typical Affinity customer has an HR administrator role to assist with customer knowledge and approval of workflows such as new positions, position changes, onboarding, off-boarding and organisational changes.

Finance

The only requirement for finance resource is to receive and upload the general ledger interface files or provide approval for payroll funds release from your organisation's bank accounts. Processes are designed to support this function and interfacing can often be set up to automate this workflow.

Would you be able to provide example customers/ organisations who would be willing to allow site-visits for potential customers to view a demonstration of the product or service in action?

We can provide testimonials from current customers and offer a demonstration of the platform when you book a meeting with our sales team.
