About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor, or an HR Advisor who is ready to step up, to join a diverse business in a competitive private enterprise environment.

Working closely with managers across the Group, you'll provide trusted advice, develop HR policies and practices, support and lead organisational change, and help build a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Senior HR Advisor, you will provide end-to-end HR support across a diverse range of people-related activities, including:

  • Partnering with managers to provide expert HR advice and guidance
  • Supporting workforce planning and organisational development initiatives
  • Managing recruitment and selection processes across the Group
  • Reviewing position descriptions and employment documentation
  • Providing employment relations advice and supporting investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management matters
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Leading health and safety initiatives and compliance requirements
  • Supporting managers with organisational change and change management activities
  • Analysing HR data and preparing reports to support business decisions

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR generalist or HR advisory role
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of employment relations, recruitment, performance management, health and safety, and HR best practice
  • A sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • The ability to influence, coach, and support managers at all levels
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and sound professional judgement
