About Nind Group

Nind Group is a leading trades-based contracting company with a talented team of 180+ skilled professionals operating across Electrical and Dairy divisions throughout the South Island. They are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for their employees, sub-contractors and clients.

Nind Group are now seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team, leading and supporting operations, providing high quality support to the management team, and driving the strategic direction of people and culture.

About the Role

The Human Resources Manager will work closely with our GM, Directors and Branch Managers to ensure policies, processes and people practices are effective, compliant and aligned with our values.

The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse workload, from end-to-end recruitment processes and leading the delivery of all core HR functions across the Nind Group, through to providing sound employment relations advice, developing and implementing HR strategies which align with the businesses’ strategic objectives, supporting staff engagement, undertaking performance reviews and identifying training needs, and championing an inclusive workplace culture.

About You

We would love to hear from experienced HR professionals who are keen to make a meaningful impact in a role where your people-skills, leadership and ideas are valued.

The ideal candidate will tick the following boxes:

- Hold a tertiary qualification in HR, business administration, or a related field

- 3+ years generalist HR experience (preferably at management level in a trade industry)

- A sound practical knowledge of NZ employment law and HR best practice

- A strong communicator, with the ability to engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of people

- Prepared to be involved in both operational and strategic HR tasks

- Professional, with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
