As our Senior People and Culture Advisor, you will partner with our managers and staff to provide expert guidance , insight and advice on all people related matters across the organisation. Your expertise will support the cultivation of a workplace culture that aligns with our council's vision and mission and ensuring we remain an employer of choice.
Your portfolio of work will cross the whole employee life cycle including recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, remuneration, performance management and people projects. You will support the development and implementation of innovative initiatives that enhance our employee experience and foster a customer-centric workforce.
In this key role, you'll be a trusted advisor who empowers our leaders to excel. You will apply a business partnering approach while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation. Your unparalleled ability to deeply understand various businesses within the group you support, coupled with your expertise in executing best practice and fit-for-purpose HR processes, procedures, and initiatives, will add significant value and drive organizational performance.
Managing people processes with integrity and sensitivity, you'll ensure confidentiality, fairness, and transparency in all practices.
We are a small dedicated team with big aspirations. We are seeking someone with a “customer centric” mindset and a wealth of experience across all HR disciplines, including recruitment, performance management, and organizational development. Strong IT literacy and a systems-oriented approach will be invaluable, as will a-depth of knowledge of NZ employment law and best practices.
Local Government is a dynamic, complex environment, with multiple disciplines and delivery lines. Although we see this role as full time, we are open to job share/flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
