Our highly regarded Payroll team provide operational and specialist services and advice for approximately 4500 employees across all our campuses. With a diverse workforce, wide variety of employment arrangements, and ongoing change, this provides plenty of interesting challenges and complexity. You will never be bored!
Whilst you are capable of 'doing the doing' efficiently and accurately, you'll also be able to take a step back and look at things strategically - planning, driving and implementing projects and championing continuous improvement.

Your skills and Experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
We are looking for a professional who will champion our values: Manaakitaka/Respect, Pono/Integrity, Māhirahira/Curiosity and Wharawhanaukataka/Community.
Successful candidates will also have:
- Proven experience at leading a busy and/or complex payroll operational function.
- People leadership skills that engage and empower a team.
- A sound understanding of current NZ employment law and HR practices.
- A passion for delivering high standards of services and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead or contribute to a range of initiatives and large processes.
- Resilience and self-motivation, and ability to balance a multitude of operational priorities.
- Excellent professional relationship and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written capabilities.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position, based in Dunedin.
