Not only are they known for their nimble, committed approach and engineering excellence, Aimex take pride in giving customers tailored solutions and providing the best value for their investment.

Aimex is currently going through a new phase of positive change. They have a new CEO who is leading a renewed focus, and investment in health, safety, leadership, people, and technology, it is an exciting time to be part of their transformation.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this new role will be responsible for establishing all facets of strategic and operational HR across the Aimex group of 110 staff.   There is a huge appetite to establish best-fit people practices at Aimex. Work has already started on implementing a new health and safety and ERP system which includes an HR component.  Starting with a clean slate, your role will be to work closely with the CEO, Health and Safety Manager and other leaders to develop and embed recruitment, retention, performance, and salary review strategies and processes.  You will provide expert advice and coaching on ER, conflict resolution, and change management and establish a training and development framework to ensure the business has the skills and capabilities required now, and in the future.   As a sole charge HR specialist, you will engage the skills and expertise of external consultants when required.

This role would suit an experienced HR practitioner with a proven track record of leading and delivering both at a strategic and operational level.  Your expertise will be broad and deep across all aspects of HR, ER, recruitment, OD, remuneration and benefits.   Experience working in organisations with diverse workforces and a tertiary qualification is desirable.  You will need to be capable of working autonomously and demonstrate sound commercial decision making.

This is an amazing opportunity to partner with a progressive, forward-thinking CEO and take charge of establishing the HR, people and culture practices of a highly successful local Nelson business.
